Replacing an existing smoke alarm?
Start with the exact model number on your existing alarm. Different models can have different power supplies, bases and interlink requirements, so a similar-looking alarm isn't necessarily a direct replacement.
If you're unsure, send us the model number and details of your existing setup before buying. Mains-powered alarm installation and electrical alterations should be handled by a competent person.

Are your smoke alarms new or used?
We stock a mix of new, new without original packaging and previously installed alarms. Each product listing specifies its condition, so please check before purchasing.
Do the alarms include a base plate?
Yes, a base plate is included with every alarm. Base plates may not be supplied in original Aico retail packaging. Check that the supplied base is appropriate for your installation.
How do I know when an alarm expires?
Where applicable, the expiry year is shown on the product listing. Check the specific product information rather than assuming every alarm has a full ten years remaining.
Will a new alarm fit my existing base?
Not necessarily. Compatibility depends on the exact model and installation. Compare model numbers and the manufacturer's compatibility guidance before ordering.
When will my order be dispatched?
We offer same-day dispatch for eligible orders placed before 1 pm Monday to Friday. Orders after the cut-off, or on weekends and bank holidays, are processed on the next working day.
Do you offer an installation service?
No. We supply smoke alarms and accessories but do not offer an installation service.
